Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care CHC50113
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care addresses the skills and knowledge required to provide care for individuals and groups of children, and to plan activities facilitating their leisure and play, enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. Students will learn to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. Depending on the setting, educators may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff in a range of child care facilities such as full day care centres, occasional care facilities, crèches and early learning centres as an Early Childhood Educator.
